What is this?

Ecological storytelling is an interdisciplinary field of practice rooted in the understanding that our stories, emotions and language shape and inhabit our environment. It has particular relevance in our current era, given the rapid and complex changes of our relationship to the natural world. Ecological storytelling serves to deepen our relationship to the land, the elements and all living beings around us, fostering a greater awareness of our connectedness and our role in the great web of life. By re-engaging with both our own inner life and the life that exists all around us, ecological storytelling can help individuals and communities move from extraction and domination to cultivation and stewardship.
